Perfect Spring Style: Flowing Tank and Distressed Denim

As a rule, I have tried to limit my shopping these days. It's not because I don't honor my body (I do!) but simply because I am on a budget and looking to remove clutter from my life and closet. I want to keep things more simple; less is more. If I am going to bring something into my closet, it has to be something I really, really love and plan to wear a lot, or something I need. Here's the thing. I have a shortage of tops. For some reason, it is really hard for me to find great plus size tops that excite me and fit for my body. So, when it came time to finally find something new, I went to Simply Be and found this top below, along with a few more I will share soon. This one, right here... I fell in love with.Confession. In the past, I haven't been able to wear all the styles by Simply Be. I found myself frustrated that their full range didn't go up to a size 28, which I wore for years. I always loved their style diversity and had gotten some great purchases there! As a size 22, I found more styles available to me. Including this which, the first time I saw it, I was unable to wear due to the size. Scooped it up? I think so. This plus size tank top is $39 and available in sizes 8-22. You can find it linked here onlinesarah sapora, simply be plus sizeThis top speaks to me. It is flowy and soft and a little bohemian at the same time. For me, wearing it with distressed skinny jeans is the perfect mix of soft and worn in at the same time. I'm wearing my tried and true Torrid Premium Stretch Jeggings in a size 22 Extra Short. These never fail me. I anticipate buying them in every size as I need them. They get the fit, length, inseem and cut totally perfect here. You can see the extra ruffle detail at the arm area on this top. Another small detail that totally elevates this top from tank to something special! The clutch I've styled this is a spectacular bag from my dear friends at Via Buia. It is is, truthfully, one of the most beautiful things I own. It is called the Invitation Bag and it is a sparkled, suede and leather clutch purse. I'm madly in love with the stripe of mango-colored suede and how it adds an extra pop. FYI, the bag comes in a bunch of other shades, including a copper and white. So pretty!!As a note, I'm wearing a Torrid strapless bra here. Torrid strapless bras are working really well for me these days; this ones gives me nice hold and is totally wearable and comfortable all day.RayBan sunglasses in a classic Aviator style are my go-to sunnies. I've had these for a few years and wouldn't trade them for the world!Love this image of the black, contrast trim detail in the top!! Next time I wear this, I will probably put my hair up so that the top shows off my neck and to highlight the graceful back.A few folks have asked me about these shoes!! They are Vince Camuto that I got several years ago from Nordstrom Rack. In full disclosure, they aren't the most comfortable... I will keep them tucked away for special occasions only!As my body has changed, I have experienced more and more fashion freedom. More opportunities to wear the styles I love, more chances to explore my personality through fashion. To me, this outfit is a perfect example of the kind of thing I would have loved to have worn but wasn't able to find in my extended plus size. Big thank you to Rachel Richardson for the pics!
