Barefoot. Vulnerable. Self-loving.

Events, workshops, and retreats created specifically for plus size women.

I run live events and retreats that help plus size women straddle the sticky place between radical self-acceptance and what it takes to create real change to live greater, more authentic, and more liberated lives.

Events

My events are not magic. What they are, is REAL. They are place where women of all sizes can drop their guard and show up fully, knowing they are enough exactly as they are.

I’ve been running events since 2017. Here are my signature experiences:

Body + Love Workshop

A multi-day workshop with guest speakers, honoring the connection between our body, mind, and spirit when living a self-loving life.
LA, 2017 / Las Vegas 2018 / Brooklyn, 2019

My signature “vacation + retreat” offering a week of workshops, discussions, activities and, of course, vacation. All located in a beautiful location.
Miches, Dominican Republic, 2022 & 2023

LIFELOVE Vatreat

Affectionately known as “L2” this is a year-long experience for those who have previously attended LIFELOVE. With a focus on community and accountability, L2 involves monthly group mentoring and two in-person retreats.
Sedona & Montana, 2024

Why I Run Events for Plus Size Women

In 2016 I registered for a personal growth event run by a celeb-teacher. I was so freaking excited! One month before the event, I received an email asking me what size tee shirt I wanted for my swag. Did I want a women’s Small, Medium, Large, or a men’s XL. My heart sank. I knew at that moment that my body was subconsciously unwelcome.

I spent the months leading up to the experience wracked with fear about my body. I “armored up” and became defensive, knowing in my heart I’d be the “only fat chick” in the room. I stressed about the seats we’d be sitting in — would I even FIT? I know what it’s like to go to an event and feel unwelcome. I know what it’s like to be the only plus-size person in the room. This is why I run event experiences. Bodies of EVERY size deserve to participate in the process of growth and self-improvement! Those who come to my event know I have done the work in advance to make sure that the experience is as size accommodating as possible.

There’s a reason I run events for plus size women. Let me tell you what it is. (But, if you’re plus size, I bet you already know..)

The last few years have seen a rise in “destination tourism” for plus size women. It’s great! But there’s a difference between “going on a vacation” to party, and an experienced centered around self-development. I do the later.

Every one of my events is designed to invite you to the table of your own life! I am not a therapist or a wacky life coach. I’m a woman who creates spaces designed to help you connect with yourself. It is only when you do this that you can start to dig in and see WHO you are, and understand where you want to explore more when it comes to your growth. Regardless of experience, all my events are guided by a set of core values:

  • Self-Awareness: We are willing to see ourselves with honesty. It can be hard, but we know we are capable of doing and seeing hard things. It is only through this that we can find radical acceptance for ourselves in the present.

  • CONNECTION: We prioritize creating community based on vulnerability, humor, and shared experiences. We know what it feels like to be excluded by others for the things we are self-conscious about; we do our best to never judge others.

  • BRAVERY: We try new things and step out of our comfort zone, even if it’s scary. We know we can catch ourselves and that others will help us to land softly when needed.

I’d love to have you join me for an event! Get on my email list to be the first to know when I’ve got something planned.

xoxo

PS. There are currently no events planned for the future. Stay tuned for updates!

What “Lovers” Are Saying

  • The friendships I've developed from LIFELOVE and invaluable. These are women who are like me, want a self-loving life and allow space for each other to feel the hard things in life. I love these women so much I flew to another state to vacation with them and enjoyed the best girl vacation. We know where each other live, our family structures, celebrate successes and days that suck. I feel like I can say real stuff to these women without judgment.

  • I came to one of Sarah's events at the lowest point in my life. Her realistic approach to being self-loving is like no other person I've seen. She's a real person who understands life isn't linear. Her stepwise approach to creating a self-loving life has affected me in more ways than I can count; I know that perfect is not the goal. I have learned that I am capable of so much more than I even thought possible. My friends, family, and work know that I spend time with her each year to meditate, have fun, strengthen friendships, and create the next level of me.

  • The impact Sarah has had on my life is immeasurable - she isn't a gimmick and isn't a mental health professional. She's just a woman who cares about others deeply and wants us to succeed.

  • The work you do at LIFELOVE allows you to see ways you can make small meaningful changes. It’s the “one bite” approach rather than trying to eat the whole elephant.

  • I use the work from LIFELOVE to know what to talk about with my therapist and what I want to focus on in the coming months/year.

  • The work is SOOOO HELPFUL! It’s so tangible and real. You took your own ideas of what triggers you and turn them into the opposite! The concept is not only sustainable but easy to replicate again and again!

  • Having a Self-Love To-Do List makes it easier to make yourself and, your well-being, a priority. Breaking down the tools to a granular level makes it feel very doable… in fact you feel proud of yourself just for making the list at all! I’m keeping a copy of it on my phone or bathroom mirror or wherever; it means “in case of emergency pull this cord!” It’s list of actions to take instead of getting overwhelmed in the shit. The small action items build self-confidence and self-trust.
