2 Igigi Plus Size Printed Dresses Perfect for Summer

Colorful dresses are everything.

When it comes to style, I consider myself a minimalist. I keep my jewelry simple and let the clothes speak for itself. This is one of the reasons I love bold printed and colorful dress for Summer! Printed dresses are a great way to express yourself without (frankly) a whole lot of effort. They key is in finding prints that speak to you. For me, I've always had luck with the plus size dresses at Igigi. From graceful maxi dresses in swirling designs to knee-length styles that will make them stop and stare,  Igigi reigns supreme. Case in point, these brilliant print dresses.

I love, literally, everything about these dresses. Here's why-- the styles themselves are simple and chic but they come to life-- brilliantly beautiful life-- when done in prints like this. Colorful, bold, vibrant. You can't hide in dresses like this, and frankly, why would you want to?I know, I know. Yes, it is a LOT of color. And I've heard other women say that wearing color scares them. The way I see it, I'm not concerned about blending. I want to wear something that makes me feel great. And these print? I'm in love!! I could just as easily wear both dresses with flat sandals and a messy top-knot for a weekend date.  Don't be intimidated by color. Seriously. Take a chance!Let's have a moment of silence for my super pale skin. Yup. There I am. Day glow pale. Chalking this up to my desire to "age gracefully" I now try not to tan (you should have seen me ten years ago with my deep, Baywatch-inspired tan. Ugh. I miss those days...) so that means baring my pale arms and all!
When I wear a bold dress like this I keep EVERYTHING else about my outfit really simple. Nude sandals, a sprinkle of bangles at my wrist, a cats-eye colored stone ring with soft waves in my hair. Why? Because with prints as stunning as these, what more do you really need? From a fit perspective, Igigi plus size dresses tend to run on the generous side. These styles are no exceptions. If you are between sizes you are probably safe to order down.Quick note: The floral dress pictured is the Lindsay Dress and is no longer available. The second, the abstract print in a kaleidoscope of purple, pink and blue, is the Penny Dress in Garden Shadow and available here.Igigi is chock full of maxi and short dresses in super beautiful prints right now! I even noticed a few wickedly beautiful dresses on their sale rack for some very deep discounts. Styles run through sizes 12 through 32. Take a stroll through their dresses on Igigi.com here.
